Markdown already contains a hierarchy: one H1, a series of H2 sections, and supporting lists or paragraphs. pastedeck uses that hierarchy as the outline, then decides which points need their own slide. It is a good fit for developer notes, internal docs and talks written before the slides.
What you bring
- A Markdown outline
- A README or technical note
- A Notion/Obsidian export saved as Markdown
How the deck is shaped
- H1 becomes the framing or title
- H2 sections become the main sequence
- Lists become supporting points, not whole paragraphs
- Notes become speaker cues rather than a second document
Where it stops
- Markdown tables, code fences and footnotes are not preserved as interactive elements.
- It does not guarantee a specific Markdown flavour.
- The output is HTML, not a Markdown slide source.
